Are Purple Highlights
A 'Wall Street Journal investigation has revealed a glaring security flaw in Facebook. According to the survey
the problem is the "app" and in particular the "Facebook ID, a sequence number generated by social networks and used to uniquely identify each profile.
Well, that number, instead of being properly protected, would allow application developers access to a variety of personal data of users of their programs. Among the information snatched include preferences, employment, addresses, numbers phone and a list of friends.
Even worse, some manufacturers have App "shot" sensitive data so collected to third party companies that specialize in profiling surfers. In the list of indicted include "QuizCreator" and "Gift Creator" is currently suspended from Facebook for violating the terms of use of the platform. In the black-list also included "Farmville".
